For any new Apple® user helpful Mac® knowledgeable tech support is crucial to make sure you get up and running quickly and easily. For many Apple users all over the map, a prolonged phone call or a long line at the Apple store is not their best option.

Life gets busy and odds are – especially if you’re really new to Apple products – it may be difficult to retain the wealth of information thrown at you from these tech support specialists. This is where online chat support comes in handy.

There’s no question that the tech support specialists at Apple are knowledgeable and well trained. But as is usually the case, these experts may overload you with technical information that may or may not be hard to retain. This is largely due to the fact that there is no chat support available from Apple’s website, and the support available at many independent tech support sites usually also depend upon a phone call for support services.

There are several benefits to online chat-based tech support. For starters, you don’t have to wait on hold or in long lines at the Apple store. In fact, there’s no doubt that online chat support is a big time saver. The other major benefit has to do with information retention. For instance, if you’re working on a particularly complex problem you can easily save and print chat conversations and read them later.

The bottom line is that whether you’re a new or seasoned Apple user you will want Mac tech support from time to time. So why not rely on the highest quality Apple Chat support specialists available and give the StartOnMac Care Experts the opportunity to help you make your Mac the super computer you know it can be?

Is your Mac computer giving you internet problems on a regular basis? Do you not know where to get the best help for your internet problem? There are many ways you can reach out for tech support, but some are a lot better than others.

When your Mac internet is acting up, it is a drag. You’re less likely to get as much work done and tasks will take you longer than they should. To get the problem fixed, you can search the internet for answers, call the Apple store for assistance or consider using a third party tech support to help you out.

Searching online for answers to your Mac internet problems can be a grueling task. In a search, you get so many results that it’s difficult to filter through the websites that may have no idea what they’re talking about or are trying to solve problems that you don’t have. There are so many websites on the internet that claim they can fix your problem and it’s hard to know who you can rely on. Not to mention, if your internet is the problem, then searching online may make this task difficult or even impossible. StartOnMac offers plenty of ways to receive tech support at an affordable price. If your internet is down, pick up the phone and give us a call!

Visiting the Apple store may get your problem fixed; but who knows when you’ll have your computer back to health and do you really want to drive all the way to the store? The Apple store is flooded every day by Mac users experiencing the same issues as you and even with an appointment, it can mean a long wait for an Apple genius to help. Therefore, the chances of immediately getting someone from some tech support may be more problems than you expect. StartOnMac offers tech support from our excellent staff of Care Experts that are waiting right now for your calls.

At StartOnMac, we provide you with excellent service so you can have your Mac up and running before you know it. Give us a call, start a chat session or send us a message today to see for yourself!

Users who are totally new to the world of Mac® computers may be a lot of things, but one thing they are most certainly not are dummies. Mac for beginners users can understandably have a difficult time using their new hardware and software at first, especially if they’ve just completed migrating over from the Microsoft Windows operating system. While Windows and Mac OS X® are similar in a lot of ways, they are dramatically different in others. Because of this, it is important for new Mac users to realize that there is a better way to get Mac support than by searching for a “Mac for Dummies” book.

Services like StartOnMac not only aim to offer first class support for various types of Mac products but they also do so in a way that can conform organically to the needs of the individual customer. No two new Mac users are likely to have the same issues. Where one user may be having trouble migrating data from an older computer to a newer one, another user may be experiencing operating system errors that can’t be dismissed.

Because two problems like that are unique unto themselves, the Care Experts at StartOnMac allow customers to pick out the exact type of support they need. For example, customers can engage in chat or telephone support sessions to accomplish tasks like setting up printers, installing new programs and even making sure that the data on a hard drive is protected from digital threats like viruses or hackers.

Users who want support on a more ongoing basis can also sign up for a StartOnMac subscription service. After an initial setup fee and a small fee per month, users can have unlimited access to technical support whenever it is needed. StartOnMac also offers support for various types of iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad.

StartOnMac recognizes that just because you’re having a hard time with your new equipment doesn’t automatically make you a “dummy.” Each user has his or her own unique needs, and the Care Experts at StartOnMac are more than capable of meeting those needs as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

One of the many things that Apple® is known for is first-rate customer service. Apple provides a variety of different avenues for customers to get support including online, telephone and in-person options. That top quality support, however, doesn’t come cheap. While technicians at an Apple Store location can certainly help Mac® for beginner users solve basic problems in a couple of seconds, any issues that is more intensive than a general knowledge question will often require a lot of time – and money.

Third party support is classified as any support for Apple products that isn’t provided by Apple themselves. Many companies exist purely to offer support for Apple products to customers around the country and even the world. Third party support can be just as good as first party Apple support, but you should most definitely check out a particular service first before locking yourself into any type of plan. Only if you are completely comfortable with the services provided as well as the terms and conditions for those services should you actually enter into a business agreement with a particular company.

The types of services offered by third party support companies can vary. An Apple Help Desk experience may involve only basic troubleshooting of issues that beginning users are likely to experience. More advanced services may offer advanced troubleshooting support by way of a remote desktop connection. Instead of shipping your computer to a service center a service technician actually uses the Internet to connect to the machine and fix the issue as quickly as possible.

Additionally, third party support services can also help educate you about the ins and outs of a new computer. You may be able to purchase individual support sessions that will help you complete tasks like moving your data from an old machine to a new one, installing hardware, setting up your operating system and more depending on exactly what you need to do.

A third party company that offers a wide variety of different services is certainly worth the money. Some companies, however, are merely attempting to cash in on the Apple brand name and the company’s popularity and should be avoided at all costs. Only through the proper research will you be able to tell one type of Apple Help Desk from the other. So if you are looking for a reliable third party Apple service provider, give the Care Experts at StartOnMac a try and see why are existing customers have such great things to say about their experience!

Is third party Mac® tech support really a good option for Mac for beginners–or for anybody? It is if you can find the right option. But the “right option” is different for different people. How do you know what’s best for you?

There are some people who go “100% Official” all the way. These people will only call the official Mac tech support line, or go to an Apple® Store, when they have any problems or questions.

There’s nothing wrong with this…for them. But most of us don’t want to spend almost $50 per incident with the “official” Apple tech support (and even those who have the money, often think this price is steep).

And not everybody lives close to an Apple Store. Even if you do–wouldn’t it be nice to solve your Mac problems and questions with third party Mac tech support?

Luckily this kind of help is available if you know where to look. The Care Experts at StartOnMac can do everything from teaching a Mac for beginners real-time tutorial, to setting up your Mac programs (such as Time Machine) for you.

Prices are significantly lower than the official Mac support center, as well. You can even start a support subscription for about $12/month, which will let you access Mac tech support as you need it.

Relying on “free Mac for beginners” help online can result in real disaster–or frustration, at the very least. And using the official Apple help center is often more costly than any of us would like. Why not check out the Care Experts at StartOnMac? They can help you solve your Mac problems, install and configure your software, and have you running your Apple computer like an old pro!

Sometimes a computer-related problem can be too difficult to fix on your own but not complicated enough to warrant spending money to have an expert technician come out to your home. Likewise, the issue may not be serious enough to even warrant spending minutes or even hours on hold to wait for a telephone support specialist. When those types of computer issues arise, one great avenue for troubleshooting is Apple® chat support.

Just because chat support for Apple products is a convenient way to fix issues doesn’t mean that it is a technology that is widely supported. Many third party services do not offer chat support of any kind. Even Apple doesn’t provide chat support and insists upon customers either calling a specific telephone number or going to see their Geniuses at the nearest Apple Stoer. StartOnMac, however, realizes the value of Apple chat support and provides that very service to all customers.

StartOnMac chat support for various Apple products can be initiated right from any Apple computer. You can get detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot any issues you may be experiencing and even for how to complete basic tasks on your machine. If you’re new to the world of Apple products, for example, you may have a hard time moving your data or interacting with the main operating system interface. After a quick StartOnMac chat session you’ll have the confidence you need to start using your computer like the professional that you really are.

StartOnMac provides support for Apple computers and the Mac OS X® operating system as well as iOS® devices like the popular iPod Touch®, iPhone® and iPad® line of portable electronics.

StartOnMac aims to make it as easy as possible for the customer to fix any issues that they may have. StartOnMac provides both chat and phone support services to meet your preferences and the needs of the situation. Additionally, StartOnMac Care Experts can connect to your computer via remote connection so that you don’t even have to leave your home or office to get a particular problem solved as quickly as possible.

With so many options available, it’s easy to see why StartOnMac is a clear choice for helping new Mac users resolve Apple technology-related issues.

Free, good help for Apple® computers can be difficult to find when it comes to Mac® for beginners. In fact, you may have noticed that it is pretty much impossible!

It’s not surprising that so many people look for free help online for their Apple products (especially when it comes to Mac for beginners). The operating system is new to us, and more than a little confusing at times. The hardware looks different and just plain is different than what we’re used to from our PCs.

And to top it all off, the official Apple Mac tech support costs nearly $50 for a single incident of support–as if we didn’t pay enough for our Mac computers to begin with!

This can make it tempting to get free Mac tech support or other no-cost Apple help online. But when it comes to tech support, you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to “free”!

Usually, this free Mac tech support comes from either:

Someone online who has something to sell you, often scammers, who don’t have your best interests at heart, and who can cost you a lot more money than the official Apple help line.

Well-intentioned home users who may or may not understand your question–and who may or may not have a solution that works for your situation.

Some know-it-all who seems to care more about proving they know the Apple than they do about actually helping anyone out.

Third party Mac tech support is available–from people who actually care, and who won’t try and drain your bank account!

The Care Experts at StartOnMac will do everything from installing and configuring your Mac software, to helping you after you have updated your computer, to teaching you how to use your Mac when you first get it. Their prices are more reasonable than the “official” sources, and it doesn’t cost anything to check them out! Check out StartOnMac.com to see if it’s right for you.

Setting up a new computer in your home can be both an exciting and stressful time. Each new computer will have its own special quirks, which is something that is especially true if you’re migrating to an entirely new operating system. The fundamentals of the Windows operating system and Mac OS X® may be the same, for example, but they are drastically different in almost every other way that you can imagine. Because of this, it is totally natural for new users to have a difficult time in the first few days, weeks and even months after bringing a new machine into their homes.

StartOnMac technical support services were specifically designed to help new Mac® users make both a quick and easy transition from their old Windows-based personal computers to their new Mac computer. The help with Mac services offered by StartOnMac can be separated into two distinct categories.

The first category of services offered is education. If you’re having a hard time securing your hard drive, moving your data from your original machine to your new machine, installing hardware like printers and other tasks of a similar nature, StartOnMac Care Experts can guide you through the process either by chat or telephone. StartOnMac specialists won’t just complete a task for you. Instead, they will show you how to use your computer and install you with the confidence that you can use each and every day from there on out.

The second category of services offered by StartOnMac is more technical support in nature. If you’re having problems syncing your iPad to your new Mac computer or are constantly receiving “disk permission” errors that you just can’t seem to get rid of, StartOnMac Care Experts will help you take care of the problem either over the Internet or by phone. We do this by establishing a remote desktop connection with your computer to take care your issues as efficiently as possible.

If you need help with Mac computers, you shouldn’t be afraid to consult professional help. There’s no shame in having a hard time with new equipment. What you shouldn’t do is let those “beginners issues” cloud your judgment and ruin your computing experience.

As a new Mac® user, there are many choices for Mac tech support. At StartOnMac, we pride ourselves on being the number one alternative to Apple® Support. However, there are some other options which compliment our suite of services very well.

A Fellow Mac User

A great way to find a quick answer to a common question or problem is for a new Mac user to ask a fellow Mac user. Many concerns can be quickly addressed this way. Below is a list of some of the more common questions that fellow Mac users can typically answer:

Where can I buy software for my Mac?

How can I change the wallpaper on my desktop?

How do I install new software on my Mac?

What can I do to speed up my internet connection?

These are just a few of the questions that knowledgeable friends may be able to answer for a new Mac user. Typically, the answers will be short and to the point with little explanation of the problem or the solution. This type of assistance is mainly used for quick and simple issues that most Mac users have faced at one time or another.

Classroom Training

At the opposite extreme, there are many classroom training programs available to help you as a new Mac user. This will allow you to provide much of your own mac tech support, but it will require a significant investment of your own time and money. In the process, you will learn a lot about Mac computers and how to use them. Some of the information may be relevant to the actual tasks you are attempting to complete, but much of this information is overwhelming to the average user. A few basic classes are good for some people. However, anything past the basics is excessive for the average Mac user. Additionally, most people don’t want to spend several weeks or months in a classroom just to learn how to get their printer working.

Start On Mac

Our customers find that services offered by StartOnMac fit somewhere between classroom training and asking a friend. Like asking a friend, StartOnMac offers fast solutions to common issues faced by a new Mac user. Additionally, like the classroom training options, StartOnMac can provide detailed training or advanced Mac tech support for complex problems. This is done using the latest remote support software and the friendliest support staff in the industry, just check out the testimonials to see how our customers appreciate our services. StartOnMac can help you move your data, learn to use your new computer, setup your software, setup new peripherals, protect your data, assist with all your iDevices, and much more.

Apple iCloud® is an excellent service when it comes to Mac® for beginners, as well as experienced pros. iCloud allows you to treat all of your Apple Mac and iOS devices as though they were hooked in to one central computer.

This means that, if you just finished importing your entire CD or DVD collection to your iMac, iCloud will allow you to watch any of these movies on your iPad while you’re on vacation.

This also means you don’t have to worry about transferring vacation or family event photos from your iPhone to your MacBook or your iPad. Since they can all access iCloud, it’s like sharing a hard drive from all of your devices!

Which Devices and Files are Included?

iCloud works with just about any Mac or iOS device. This includes your Apple computer (MacBook or iMac), apple mobile devices, and most Apple media players (except maybe for the iPod Shuffle).

What Can I Store on iCloud

iCloud features several different services that allow you to easily store and retrieve just about any kind of file.

Documents in the Cloud, for example, allows you to share just about any file from device to device–including other people’s devices. This makes it easy for you to share iWork, Preview, and TextEdit files with teachers, classmates, or co-workers.

Photo Stream lets you view the pictures you took on your iPhone or iPad, on your iMac or MacBook Air–and even on your PC or TV!

It also includes music: iCloud’s iTunes Match service lets you store not just your iTunes, but all of your other music (like CD tracks you have backed up onto your computer), and then access it from your iMac, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, or iPod. iTunes Match costs $24.95 a year–just a little over $2 every month.

How Can I Get Started?

You could always go to the official Apple iCloud Setup Page and try and set up the service yourself. And plenty of long-time Apple owners have done just that.

But many others opt for some help. Setting up a wide-ranging new service such as iCloud can be daunting even for old Apple pros–to say nothing of Mac for beginners. Why not save time and frustration with an iCloud tutorial, or maybe even let the Care Experts at Start On Mac set it up for you!
